Trust

Trust is evaporating in modern life. What role can love in our personal lives offer as a respite from the seeming loss of trust in every major industry and governing bodies?
Can a partner make up for losses that you experience from elsewhere
in the world? I think not. But your partner can care about your defeats or losses. A partner can share in what matters. But no one love can compensate for the endless irritating frustrations of a technological and impersonal society.
When you walk in the door offer your partner a smile. I’m glad you are here.
Then let the complaints about the day begin but tell your partner whether you want to be listened to or given advice. Don’t start a fight with your partner simply because they didn’t know exactly what you needed from them. Huddle against the world together, and, be grateful: someone wants you home.
